Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County works with hundreds of volunteers each year to create affordable homeownership opportunities for local families. We build homes almost exclusively with volunteer labor, and we welcome people of all skill levels and backgrounds to work with us to build a better Dubois County. Whether you want to get your hands dirty on our construction sites, support our office team, or help plan events, we have an opportunity for you. Find your perfect match and get started! We can’t do it without your help.

Construction Volunteers

Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County’s construction crew utilizes volunteers each Saturday, throughout the build season. To help assist in planning, we coordinate our volunteer schedule in advance. We welcome your participation whether you are an experienced builder or you’ve never lifted a hammer.

Please email our Family Support Chair and Volunteer Services Coordinator, Amber Kellams, with questions about volunteering or scheduling a group build day at amber@duboishabitat.org or call 812-631-1917

Crew Leaders

Crew Leaders commit to volunteering 1 to 2 days a month during the build season and work closely with our construction supervisors. They gain construction and leadership skills and collaborate with our staff, volunteers to lead small groups of volunteers on the build site. With the help of Crew Leaders, Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County can build even more homes and serve more families.

Meal Crews

Meal crews who provide meals for our volunteers and families are an important part of the building process and are greatly appreciated. Meal crews help coordinate and provide food, beverages and utensils/plates/paper products for approximately 10 to 15 volunteers on build days. It’s a great way to say “thank you” to the those who work in all types of weather to build homes for deserving Dubois County families.

Interested in becoming a meal donor? Please contact our Family Support Chair, Amber Kellams at amber@duboishabitat.org or call 812-631-1917.
